The 1989 original starred Patrick Swayze as a tough but soft spoken bouncer. MGM is remaking the 1989 Patrick Swayze film Road House and has tapped Rob Cohen to direct it. The original told the story of a tough but soft spoken bouncer who takes a job in a small town bar only to run afoul of a corrupt business man who has a stranglehold on the townfolk.
